It's been nine years & a month since I penned the words: "Sheffield’s Irrefutable Rules of Squallix Ocean Water Edition". Who would have ever thought that today I would be feverishly working on prepping things for the opening of our creativity studio in SoCal.
The venue is run by the Ocademy's arts philanthropy, Whimsicalitea. And since the nonprofit is part of the Ocademy, basically, Omni will be represented in the mix of artists and imaginative folk who are inspiring others to spread their own creative wings.
It's been an evolution, to be sure. And I'm so delighted we've morphed into STUDIO 14 ~ where creativity meets community. The most poignant part of the opening date for me is the fact it takes place on the day of the year Peyton Drake is scheduled to start a new school. Surreal.
